Norton - 2007 Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) Data

All subject areas in all grades throughout the Norton school system have made AYP improvement targets,
which is a great accomplishment.  Major strides have been made over the past year in Math at the Middle School,
and English/Language Arts at the Yelle School. 
 Everyone should be very satisfied and proud of the improvements made recently. 
However, there is much work still to be made especially in the area of Math and in the performance
 of our special ed and low income population. 
  The CPI (Composite Performance Index) goal increases every year with the ultimate measure of
all students scoring as  proficient or advanced by 2014 (CPI = 100%).
